REGIONAL RESEARCH PROJECTS
EADN funds regional research projects to provide comparative
studies on various themes deemed both topical and of policy significance.
Social Impact of the Asian Financial Crisis:
This project was initiated in 1998 to jump-start the research activities of
the newly-established EADN. The project was coordinated by Dr Chia Siow Yue
of the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (Singapore). There are 10 country

This project was initiated in 2002 and coordinated by Dr Medhi Krongkaew of
the School of Development Administration, National Institute of Development
Administration (Thailand).
